What you'll learn in this drawing class:
Ready to try your hand at drawing with graphite? Give the Intro to Drawing with Graphite course a try.
Tuition includes instruction at Pastimes for a Lifetime's beautiful zen studio, a Project Booklet you may keep and complementary use of school supplies.
Ideal for beginners as well as students returning to art classes after a long absence. Learn or rekindle basic skills. Unique projects may be taken home and practiced at your leisure.
This lesson is also perfect as a fun cultural experience for visitors to LA, friends and family, and active seniors who want to have an enjoyable experience. Great for a date night, too!
It's the perfect escape!
Prerequisites:
None. This class is a basic prerequisite and must be taken before moving on. Students will finish the class with a collection of completed graphite drawings and the certificate of completion necessary to move up to the next level.
This class allows for open ended scheduling, meaning students will be able to book their specific dates with the school once they have enrolled. The dates listed in the options can be changed after enrolling, but once you have selected dates you will be subject to the school's cancellation policy.
Refund Policy
Tuition is not refundable.
When rescheduling a class a 3 business days notice in advance of the class is required or the class is forfeited.
The make-up class must be attended within the 30 days. A make-up cannot be rescheduled once booked.
No make-ups are given for no-shows or if you forget to come to class.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

This was the most amazing experience! I’ve been looking for an art class for years and never found one that “fit” until now! Although I have been drawing for several years, I’ve never taken a drawing class. This class starts at the most fundamental level, which is what I’d been hoping to find. The instructor is also amazing and it was so cool to see what other students are creating! The ambiance in the classroom was also perfect for creativity!

This class was not what I was expecting because I thought we were going to be learning to use graphite sticks. To my surprise, all materials were provided, and it was actually a very basic beginners class in graphite pencil drawing that taught me some very valuable skills and history. I have been drawing my whole life and have taken many art classes, but these techniques were still new to me and very useful in improving my drawing skills. It went by fast, but I had a wonderful time.
