Chocolate and wine are the quintessential food & drink pairing. Returning for the first time since the pandemic, we're pairing 6 excellent wines with 12 of our confections. We're creating limited-edition sweets, some crowd favorites and some completely new.
Joining us for the guided tasting, we're proud to have Alex from Candid Wines, an importer/distributor of small production, organic and biodynamic wines. Since 2005, they've been working with some of the best small-batch wineries in France, Germany, Italy, Austria, New Zealand, and the US.
We're going to experience some really awesome chocolates and wines on this Valentine's. At 6:30 in the evening, we'll light some candles, chill some bubbly, and hang with you. Katherine and Alex will walk you through each pairing. Our neighbor, highly acclaimed Smoque Steak, will be providing savory noshes from their new small plate wine bar menu, featuring house made pǎté, cured meats, compound cheeses and pickled vegetables. And, the company is sure to be excellent. The evening will run from 6:30-8:30 at 3653 W. Irving Park Road.
