Hands-On Artisanal Breads Boot Camp
Chef Erin was amazing, and we left feeling confident in our ability to make bread! Our only less than 5-star comment is that the recipes in the handout often deviated from what Chef Erin was walking us through and this could be somewhat frustrating. Thank you for a great class! Constance Bauer and Lia Bauer-Goulden -
How to Bake Bread
Not only was the class very informative, but it was a lot of fun. Our instructor, Max, was delightful and to my surprise it even included a light lunch of our own homemade calzone and a spinach salad. It has really given me the confidence I needed to bake more yeast breads. Already looking for more classes to take! -

Pizza Party: Chicago Style
If I could give the NAPCA six stars, I would. My wife and I attended the Chicago Pizza class just tonight, and it was well worth the price. Chef Leo Spizzirri taught the class, and he was super engaging and interesting to listen to. You could tell he had a LOT of experience making dough, sauce, and of course pizza. He was patient and had thorough answers to everyone's questions. The facilities themselves were beautiful and state-of-the-art. The front, where the class was held, was inviting and made you feel at home. There were also areas for professional training and for cooking the pizzas in the large ovens you would expect a place like this to have. While making the pizzas was lots of fun, it was even more fun to sit at the counter and enjoy them while taking to Chef Leo and his business partner, Chef Anthony. I learned that they also offer technical classes, like knife skills, and even had a camp for kids during the summer. I would definitely go back for another class and hope to see others in the Western Suburbs take advantage of such a cool, local experience. -
Hands-On Pizza on the Grill
Great and fun class. -
Neapolitan Pizzeria: New Menu
Great for beginners or for the home cook that wants to take it to the next level. Chef Sam was very helpful and encouraged us to ask questions and kept it very informal yet very informative. Highly recommend taking a group there and having fun while learning. Thanks, Chef. -
Bagel Brunch
I wanted to take this class because of my curiosity about making bagels and thoroughly enjoyed it! Chef Leia and assistant (sorry her name escapes me) were wonderful, informative, and fun! They even allowed us to go a little off topic which enhanced the experience. We learned how to make bagels, cheese blintzes with blueberry sauce, cucumber dill salad, and smoked salmon. Loved the salmon so much I couldn't bear leaving without a stovetop smoker (wish I could've left with one of those KitchenAid mixers as well but hey). I highly recommend this course and The Chopping Block! I'm signed up for another course and hope to do more! -
