Class Description

Description

What you'll learn in this mosaics class:

Pique assiette, or “broken plates,” incorporates a blending of color, form, and texture. This folk art can be found in many cultures and is popular today as a way to recycle a favorite piece of china or broken heirloom. Complete a unique mosaic from shards of china, ceramic, or glass.

A supply list is given at the first class, but you can start collecting dishes now.

Question from Jennifer D.
Hello, Has anyone taken this course in the past, I can't seem to find any specific reviews. Thanks!
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Jennifer! The instructor is Bonnie Arkin, a very nurturing, high energy instructor. Her evaluation comments are always positive, with many who say that they never thought they could be so creative. She is very hands-on, and supportive and there are dozens of return students who participate year-round, a kind of social activity as well as creative. Hope this helps!
