Learn to sculpt a portrait from a live model. Improve your observation skills and clay techniques while learning strategies for placing proportional features, anatomical differences and surface modeling in this fun and challenging course. Finished sculptures will be hollowed out, dried and fired.
The class will include presentation of contemporary and old master sculptors, demonstrations and individualized instruction. Work representationally or use the model as inspiration for imaginative work.
