I'd love to rate the class five stars, but it was canceled twice and needed to be rescheduled. The first time it was through Coursehorse, which helped find another date that worked with our erratic schedules. The second time BevArt canceled it. This caused many confused emails from both entities and a call about scheduling from BevArt after we took the class! Also purchasing the ingredients before class was a bit confusing, and in our case doubled the cost of the class. This was not a deal-breaker but it would be good to know before purchasing the class.
As far as the class itself, it was a blast. Greg (the boss) holds a wealth of information and presents it in an informative yet casual way. The staff at the Meadery, where the class takes place, are all helpful and friendly. It's a new business in a brand new building, so they aren't yet 100% organized. Also the room's acoustics are tough at present. The roar of people at the bar side enjoying themselves could be heard over Greg's info several times. These factors are temporary though, and would not deter me from recommending this class to anyone interested in having fun while learning and making a lot of wine. You'll also be able to drink some along the way!
