Create patterns on fabric with various shades of indigo blues using the Arashi Shibori technique. Arashi Shibori is a resist dye technique that yields diagonal patterns. Using design software, ceramicists learn how to design their own bowl and plate molds to use for the production of their work. Once designed, watch as your mold is beautifully cut out on the EAC’s laser engraver. Students of this workshop will be able to take the molds home the day-of the workshop and be able to use them in all of their classes. No experience necessary.

Create a copper fold from bowl then fire on glass enamel! Learn various techniques for applying glass enamel onto this unique form, and use sifting, stencils, Limoges and fine line black. Apply a combination on transparent and opaque enamels to embellish the form to create depth and texture. The proper gauge copper will be purchased at beginning of the class; bring in your own enamels.
