More experienced mask makers get involved with more expensive materials, develop their own tool kit and pursue projects of their own with guidance from our resident master Jeff Semmerling. Note: You should already took intermediate course. Price does not include the materials fee.
Start with casting your own face for two mask making matrices, then learn sculpting and casting your own creations in paper mache'. Note: You should take beginner mask making before this class. Session price includes materials.
Students learn fundamental mask construction, making masks in cardboard, Venetian Style papier mache', found objects and plaster gauze. Please note: Most materials are included.

Learn the Semmerling methods for shaping leather masks. Jeff will show you what you need to know about leather how to shape masks from it and 2 basic methods for sizing and finishing them that will get you started making fabulous masks. In two days you will make and finish two to three leather masks and leave with a list of sources for materials...
Return to the studio and learn what’s next after the “Shaping Leather “ workshop. Sculpting, Skiving & New Sizing Methods will be taught. Feel free to bring projects you are working on. Students will sculpt one leather clown nose as the main focus of our class. Prerequisite : Shaping Leather Class
Artists 5 to 7 years old will practice skills and learn art history and vocabulary while creating fun projects. Projects will include: Painting, drawing, sculpture, masks and puppets!
