Join us for Resolve for DPs, live from the comfort of your home, on the road, or anywhere. In this interactive session, which covers the same topics as our popular, in-person Resolve for DPs workshop, you will see the instructor and be able to ask questions. This class takes place on the Zoom video conference platform, which is free to join and easy to use. Instructions will be sent to you before the class begins. Once the class starts, you will see the instructor, the gear being used, and the instructors' presentation. You will be able to ask questions via a live, moderated chat. After the class ends, you will also receive a copy of the instructor's presentation and a recording of the class.
While DaVinci Resolve is a widely accepted tool for color correction or finishing, it has also proven to be an invaluable application for on-set and near set use. With powerful tools for building and applying LUTs, as well as flexible transcoding options, Resolve is an important tool for every cinematographer to understand.
This class will focus on working with log or raw footage within Resolve, with an emphasis on processing footage for dailies and general deliverables. We’ll explore batch processing footage with a one-light look, and focus on using and applying LUTs. You will also learn basic camera matching techniques, as well as transcoding and formats conversion.
