Momofuku Milk Bar is the bakery-inspired dessert branch of David Chang’s Momofuku Restaurant Group. We’re a fun, collaborative environment, drawing talent from those who have worked at the Biltmore Room, Bouley, Bubby’s, Sullivan Street Bakery, Sweet Melissa, Bouchon Bakery, Metroplitan Bakery, John & Kira’s, del Posto, Diner, Eleven Madison Park, Jacques Torres, Magnolia Bakery, Marlow & Sons, Nobu Downtown, Pies-n-Thighs and wd~50, among others. Since its opening in November of 2008, Milk Bar has focused on putting a playful and approachable spin on familiar home-style desserts and savory snacks using quality ingredients and locally-sourced dairy.

Christina Tosi is the chef, owner and founder of Momofuku Milk Bar, called “one of the most exciting bakeries in the country” by Bon Appetit magazine. As founder of the dessert program at Momofuku, Christina helped Momofuku to earn two stars from the Michelin Guide and Momofuku Ssäm jump onto restaurant magazine’s top 100 restaurants in the world list. She is the 2012 recipient of the James Beard Rising Star Chef Award and a finalist for the 2014 James Beard Outstanding Pastry Chef Award. She also serves on the board for hot bread kitchen and cookies for kid’s cancer. Christina lives in Brooklyn, NY with her two dogs and eats an unconscionable amount of raw cookie dough every day.

I booked this class to celebrate my anniversary and although there weren’t many men, my boyfriend had a great time. The studio was clean and cozy with the best natural light imaginable. We brought home two beautiful cakes we enjoyed constructing.

The class was fun and wonderful to be able to take home the treats. I found it very simple though and a very beginner class for people who may know a fair amount about baking. Not sure if it said so and I just didn't read through the description. Does Milk Bar do any more advanced classes?

What a fun class! If you're looking for a skills heavy course, this is not for you. However, if you want to have fun with great instructors and eat super tasty desserts from one of the best bakeries in the city, you should definitely do this course! It's really well paced and set up so that you're always doing something. Had a great time

This is a great class for anyone who wants to bale at home but have your friends believe the desserts were purchased at a very expensive pastoshop. Fun, informative and best part? You get to take your beautiful desserts home. Perfect for a girls or guys night out or as a gift. I had so much fun & the others in the class were great too!

So much fun! It was pretty much fool-proof, so I know when I try to make the pie at home it’ll be a lot more work, but the class was awesome. The instructors kept walking around telling me that I was doing a fantastic job, even when my pie crust had a huge hole in it. I needed the positivity in my life
