It was a lot of fun but I was disappointed that we didn't actually bake the cake. It was just a cake layering class.
The class was great and fun!! The teachers were so nice and the cake was delicious. This class could be shorter though, and I think it'd be better if every 2 people got to make truffles at the end of the class, versus more people per tray of truffles.
Loved this class! Milk bar was so welcoming and the instructor was so lovely. Will definitely take another class!
Easy to follow instructions, laid back instructors, delish cake to sample while we assemble.
I brought my Aunt as a birthday present. It was an incredible class, I learned a LOT that I could apply to future baking experiments. Yes, it's a cake assembly class and you're not actually baking but you will still gain a lot of useful info AND wind up with literally the best cake I have ever had. ALSO the staff is EXTREMELY supportive. They walk around and are like "wow that already looks awesome but you know what else you could try???" - the most supportive atmosphere I've experienced in a cooking class in awhile. I'd definitely recommend this.
Ali and Laura were kind, amazing and so helpful in teaching us all the steps in making a cake and truffles. Wonderful class! And I have taken several.
Very friendly instructors, great tips on how to change the recipes for different pies, easy to follow steps, definitely an activity children 10 and up can enjoy too.
I enjoyed the class and am very happy I did it! The only reason I dinged it a star is because they dont tell you ahead of time how basic of a class it is and that some things are already pre-made, which was a little disappointing to think you were getting the full A-Z experience and not. Very helpful otherwise and learned alot, cake came out amazing:)
You don't bake a cake, You just assemble a cake. It's a really sugary cake too.
