This was an amazing introduction into the voice acting world. It started with a brief overview of voice acting and then entered into a varying array of the possibilities that you could choose to work with. From commercials to animation and everything in between. Hearing both your own contributions and that of the others in the class gives you an idea of what the business could become for you. The instructor was quite knowledgeable and was able to coach and give direction to each person in a way that worked best for them. The in booth experience was enlightening as well. It showed what to expect and revealed the intricacies required by both the actor and the technician to make the entire process work. If you are thinking about voice acting and want a little more information, I would wholeheartedly recommend this course. -

I really appreciate the introduction to Voice Over. I felt we had a nice size class ( and my peers were enthusiastic ). Noelle and Jenna were gracious with us, and Noelle provided much explanation of what is expected, needed, and desired in voice over talents. This seemed to me to be an ideal way to experience what work in the field might be like. I have a specialized interest in certain parts of the field which include audio books, doing voice for rpg games, and reviving the old radio serial type format. So although those were not the focus of the presentation, Noelle and my classmates provided some resources to investigate further ! The only part I can't really comment on is the evaluation of my potential in the field - as that conversation hasn't yet occurred. -

This class was an informative, no-BS introduction to the world of voice over acting. Noelle was a great instructor, providing honest feedback while thoughtfully assessing each student's strengths and challenges. She gave helpful prompts for tackling reads and explained the importance of knowing your vocal style/genre so as to waste as little time possible and increase your chances of advancing and booking gigs in this industry. Everything from technique and marketing, to technology and studio etiquette were touched on, to give us a solid foundation so we can properly decide whether or not to pursue VO. -

This class was amazing. Noelle was incredibly informative and gave great feedback that really helped me with my copy. Having studio time was a fantastic and eye-opening experience. If I had to give some kind of suggestion for improvement I would say that I wish the class was longer. My evaluation had things on it that I wish I could clarify with Noelle personally. But as the class was only $99 and Noelle was able to pack a ton of information into the time given, I can't really complain. I learned a lot and I am very grateful :) -

Amazing! Noelle is very down to earth and easy to understand. I enjoyed how she used real life experiences to help the class through our reads. The class size I thought was a little too large. I prefer between 6-8 students. In the time frame we met up I believe there were 11 of us and class ran over about 30 minutes. I would however suggest the following: Introduce breathing techniques and maybe even vocal warm ups It would have been nice to take home my recordings via flash drive or have them Emailed with my evaluation Partner reads! I see and hear this all the time Have the CEO put together a video welcoming us and reassure us newcomers that we have the support and make sure it shows his genuine interest of wanting to be apart of edge voiceover. Our successful is EDGE studios success! This video could be sent before class within the email or shown at the start of the investigate voice workshop. Oh and name tags would be great too! The sticky ones you usually write your name on in sharpie. If if think of anything else I'll email Leslie :) -

I learned a few things and was able to put some meat behind my decision to pursue further training with Edge.
