Allison Asher

Teaches at Chicago Actors Studio

A teacher and coach for nearly a decade, Allison has trained and performed at theatres and schools from San Francisco to Moscow. Her students have appeared on Chicago Fire, The Vampire Diaries, Sons of Anarchy, and at such theatres as Steppenwolf and the Guthrie.

Allison specializes in teaching Meisner Technique. She is a "third-generation" Meisner teacher, having studied and teacher trained under Kathryn Gately, who herself trained directly with Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse and under William Esper at Rutgers University.
