Class Description

Description

Ice Dyeing is a newest trend in tie dyeing and its easy to see why. It looks fresh and gives beautiful results. This is an online workshop, and we will go over multiple techniques, the set up and talk about different types of dyes you can use.

Please note that ice dyeing must sit over night (or enough time for the ice to melt). This class will discuss the fabric prep, set up, and laundry instructions for the following day.

Supplies List

  • Something to 100% cotton to dye, such as a tshirt, totebag, pillow, etc
  • Bin or Tray to catch the dye run off (use a rubbermaid bin)
  • Rack or Screen big enough to hold the item(s) you are dyeing
  • Soda Ash 2/3 cup
  • Bucket
  • Procion (powdered) Dyes
  • String/ Rubber Bands

The school will send out an email with supply list and link to my Ice Tie Dyeing resource page after ticket purchase.

This class will be recorded, so participants who are unable to attend can watch, or participants can rewatch. The recording will be available for 30 days. The recording is meant for ticket holders only and I ask that you please do not share the link with others. Thanks for your understanding.
