  Eva, my instructor was fun, friendly, helpful and organized. She emailed me ahead of time and took my feedback about what I wanted out of the class to structure our time productively in a relaxed way. She also went beyond and gave me some Paris recommendations regarding dining and shopping. I had a wonderful time.

  In the last ten years... maybe more, I've tried the apps, the online tutors, and even live classes to make my Italian feel more natural. When I started with Eva just to give it one more shot, since I'm now a literal citizen here in Como, I never expected it would make such a difference. Her professional, yet easy style helped me find the way to feel better about using the language in interactions on the phone, in person, and in critical situations...and I can tell you this- it's not about the grammar. It's about the confidence. And working with Eva will give you all of that. I could not recommend her more.

  Eva is professional and personable, and we covered a lot of ground in an hour! She reached out to me a few days beforehand to better understand what my goals were, if I had any specific needs, and also answered my technical questions regarding using a mobile phone (which actually worked out fine for me considering I was worried about the ability to see small print in a slide presentation on Zoom!). Very pleased with my experience and would like to take more lessons with her.

  I found Eva because I received a gift certificate to “Course Horse”. Anyway, I was looking for an “in-person” French class, but that wasn’t easy to find. And I live in New York City. Everything was ZOOM. But after the pandemic, everyone seemed to like it better than being “in person”. Except me. But now, I’m a believer. Eva has been in BERLIN, and it seems as if she were right in my living room. I couldn’t be happier. She is fluent in so many languages that one can feel humbled. But Eva doesn’t allow that. Within a few lessons, she will try very hard to discern how best you learn. Do you respond to visual or audio, or written? Right now, I’m reading Le Petit Prince and Tintin comics. Love both, and I’m learning a lot. Oh….Did I say that she’s a kind, patient, and forever resourceful teacher? I really couldn’t recommend her more.

  "The best learning experience I have had was with Ms. Rosales. Math has always been a tough subject for me to grasp. It has been years since I’ve studied math in a classroom setting. Yet she explained the concepts in a way that was easy for me to grasp. She’s very patient, kind, and knowledgeable. She was able to accommodate me even with my strict schedule. I would highly recommend her as a tutor to anyone."

  I really enjoyed my session with Eva. I'd been a little concerned that an hour would be a long time, since I'm not a fluent speaker of Italian. But the time actually went by quickly. She gauged my skill level well and carried the conversation by asking me questions about my travels, family, work, etc. Eva also created a Google PowerPoint document for me that she used to add phrases I needed some help with-- so a good reference for later. I'd definitely recommend Eva to others!

Great crash course for someone with absolute no Italian background - and have a taste of the language to see if they would love learning Italian!   I really enjoyed my class. Leila is a great teacher, we had very varying material: the book, training exercises, apps, online exercises, videos, songs and many other things. It was a wonderful way to learn, being in a small group in an online class also helped. I feel like I learned a lot but even more importantly, the class gave me great motivation and the tools to also learn and continue to study by myself.
