Designed for ambitious young artists, this program offers a college-level challenge to refine skills, elevate artistic quality, and develop a distinctive creative voice. With a focus on perfecting techniques and achieving professional-level polish, students transform strong foundations into exceptional, portfolio-worthy works of art.
This course meets high standards of artistic education. It offers a college-level challenge, and it helps develop a corresponding quality of art works. Students of this course know the basics of drawing and painting, and are now looking for perfection of their skills, or for a unique artistic voice, and for that final touch that makes good artworks great.
Upon request, we help students with high school or college art portfolio preparation.
We respect each creative individuality and allow students to work on projects of their personal interest at a comfortable pace. However, we often have a general theme of a class like a cast drawing, live model painting, figure drawing, character & location design, digital painting, sculpting, fan art, creative composition. It's up to a student if he/she wants to join the group or work on a personal project.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
We do not provide refunds for ongoing classes tuition, courses or camps payments.
You can make up a missed class on another day when we offer the same age/skill group class. The make-up class should be arranged in advance, no drop-ins. Limit 2 make-up classes per month. Make-up classes are subject to the availability of space in a similar class. We reserve the right not to provide make-up classes or terminate the class enrollment for repeating truancy.
