What you'll learn in this kids programming class:

Learn the most fun coding program using fun and and easy to learn block -stacking coding language, Scratch built by MIT to teach younger students the fun applications that could be build using some simple programs. 

What Will You Learn?

Roboteers as young as 7-years-old can learn to program to make animation, tell stories, make a character move and interact with other characters and game objects. learn coordinate systems, movements, logic and event driven actions. The color coded blocks make programming easy to understand for beginner programmers. 

Course Offerings:

For kids who are beginner-level coders, this workshop teaches the basics of computer programming using MIT Scratch language.  Students will learn about the basic concepts in coding and complete animation and gaming projects. "Ability to read" is highly recommended.

Hardware needed for this course: 

Scratch will run in most current web browsers on desktops, laptops, and tablets. You can view projects on mobile phones, but currently, you are not able to create or edit projects on phones.
