What you'll learn in this film and television acting class:
This class is designed to help the actor master on- camera skills for film
and television. Our coaches are dedicated to helping the actor grow as they
learn to live truthfully in each scene.
On-Camera Class 4 week class:
- Learn the art of on-camera work
- Build tools for auditioning and on set work
- Strengthen your truth in each scene
- Trust yourself as an actor
- Every actor works twice
This course will help students discover their unique talent, realize their greatest potential and gain the tools necessary to audition and book acting work in today's competitive industry.
Acting coaches, Peter Looney and Julia Huffman, each consistently guide actors to successful careers in film and television. It’s not necessary to take years of classes before you can become a successful, working actor.
You can expect at least the following in every class:
- Every Actor works twice
- Coaching by two professional actors.
- Get a copy of your scene work for additional pricing.
System Requirements: The student will need an Internet connection and a browser, and installed programs like Google Talk, or Skype.
Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
Refund Policy
The school will gladly refund any unused dates if student is dissatisfied and wishes to withdraw from class.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.

A truly wonderful class with incredible teachers. I went to the class run by Julia and she is such a great teacher. She is smart and pays great attention to the details and subtlety’s of great film acting. Peter, who also teaches, would participate as a student with the rest of the class providing a great scenemate who gives a lot to work off of. And full unpredictablity that will test and treat you in any given scene.
This class is well structured and filled with people who really want to be there. And that goes in part to Julia and Peter’s veting. If you’re serious about film acting this is the class to attend.
All memorized pieces are recorded which can make for a great resource when cutting a demo reel.
The space is small and intimate and I mean that in a good way. If you’re part of the class you will get the attention you want to help you grow as an actor. Can’t say enough great things about this course. If you’re considering taking classes, this would be a top recommendation of mine.

Awesome Class! There are two teachers for the price of one, who are seasoned working actors that both know their craft and the industry very well. When I first came to this class I found auditions challaging and sometimes very intimidating. Now, because I am able to work my craft in a safe supportive enviroment with two teachers who give excellent constructive critiques, my confidence has grown leaps and bounds along with my technique. I now love going out on audtions and have been getting many call backs and also I am beginning to book work.

I have been working out in various forms of this workshop (NOT a class per se) since the 80's. I found that this workshop keeps the film acting muscles honed during all the lean times we actors experience. If you are a golfer, you know that sessions at the driving range are always needed (even by pro golfers) to keep the body in tune.
We are given a 3-5 page scene selected from a library of film scenes to cold read with a partner, each partner is recorded on a DVD for our later review. The following week, we sometimes repeat the scene memorized. We also learn to play each scene with your partner with no preconceived notions of HOW it should be played, but REACT to what you are given by the other actor, within the context of the scene. As an exercise, there is no "true" way to play a scene in a preconceived way. The text is the outline, but the performance should be based on what you get from the other actor for it to be real. A scene can be prepared, but we must allow for the unexpected. That's when the magic happens on camera.
