Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a stylesheet language that allows you to control the appearance of your webpages. This workshop will cover the key concepts of CSS, explaining what you need to know to edit existing CSS and write your own. You will learn how to add colors and other design elements to make well designed webpages. The workshop will also cover how to use selectors, how the box model defines the spacing and sizing of page elements, how to style text and manage basic layouts, how to work with advanced selectors, creating responsive layouts, and determining when to use float and position properties.

Bring your own laptop with any version of the software installed. Each student works on their own laptop with course materials provided by the instructor at the start of class.

FREE FOLLOW UP SESSION

REMOTE LEARNING AVAILABLE
Students may choose to attend in-person or remotely. Zoom link provided within 24-hours of enrollment.

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

This was a wonderful course. Laura did a wonderful job of simplifying web design, a field full of its own specialized terms. She was open to every question I asked, knowing that the most important thing in the end was that we were on the same page. She maintained a professional attitude, clear teaching methods, and a caring side befitting of a private lesson. I recommend this course to anyone with even the slightest interest in web design.
