Artist and illustrator Mary Jane Begin provides a welcoming introduction to acrylic painting fundamentals in this hands-on workshop. Designed specifically for beginners who want to establish a consistent painting practice, this course provides all the foundational knowledge you need to pick up a brush and start creating with confidence.

What you'll learn in this course:

  • The properties of acrylic paint and the chemistry that makes it work
  • Selecting appropriate brushes and papers that work best with acrylic media
  • Building foundational mark-making and shape-creation skills to develop comfort and familiarity with the medium

By the end of this course, you will have developed enough foundational understanding to confidently explore acrylic painting and begin building your personal artistic practice with this versatile and forgiving medium.

Refund Policy

Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance of the class will be honored with a full refund. Students who cancel less than 48 hours prior to the start time of the class will receive a credit towards a future class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
