Description

The Adobe InDesign Bootcamp training is a comprehensive course that pairs and integrates both of our essential skills classes.

This course is a complete foundation that starts at a beginning level and progresses to an intermediate level of mastery.

Desktop publishing demystified. Create professional layouts to create everything from a business card to a book in this four-day InDesign comprehensive training class. Your instructor will work with you to properly create flowing text, and incorporate graphic frames to import images and backgrounds. You will be introduced to several color and typography concepts for use in your InDesign workflow. Work with master pages, paragraph and character styles to build layouts quickly and effectively. Learn how to export an Acrobat PDF with the proper settings so that your audience or printer can see your layouts, colors and fonts just as you intended.

Learn how to maximize your efficiency with quick keys, importing and exporting complicated files, and working with styles, including the nesting of styles. Work with tables, table styles and graphics within tables. Utilize transparency and Photoshop Blending Modes. Incorporate Illustrator files and work with type and photo effects from Photoshop. Your instructor will also cover color concepts, typography, working with long documents and incorporating XML into InDesign.

Your instructor will cover the pitfalls and the best practices will be followed so that you are creating rich layouts with the latest design standards and properly previewing these files with separations and transparency previews to create high and low-resolution PDF files in this Adobe InDesign class.

We recommend students bring a pen/pencil and a pad of paper to take notes, and consider bringing a sweater, as sometimes classrooms are cool.

At our Houston location, we have complimentary coffee and snacks, as well as refrigerator and microwave access.

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

All fees, payments, and funds applied toward a training service agreement with Lumenbrite training are nonrefundable to the participants, clients, or trainees stated under these terms and conditions of this legal binding document. This includes any commitment including a verbal or written promise such as this registration. It is the student's responsibility to attend the class they are registered for.

However, all students may reschedule up to 10 business days prior to the scheduled training with LUMENBRITE TRAINING and apply any payment, funds, or purchase orders, already invested in a training agreement toward a future training offered by the center. Included in the price of each individual training seat, is a $150.00 nonrefundable administrative fee.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
