Creative Nonfiction 101 Level 1: 6 Weeks
I’ve taken a course before and felt like it was more interactive and the prompts were a bit more creative. Was a little bit disappointed that wasn’t more writing focused and more on the genre. Previously we shared and critiqued as small groups and 1:1 but this time was whole group. I just prefer more of the 1:1 small group. Learned a bit but don’t think it prompted creativity as much as I had hoped maybe it’s because it’s nonfiction -

Creative Writing 101: 6 Weeks
I really enjoyed Cristina's insights and I appreciated the chance to learn from someone who supports themself with writing. She also had a very different set of references from my own, which I appreciated. Experience: Excellent. I had a great time with the course, and I felt it gave me a sense of how to establish a real writing habit and how to coax words and ideas out of small moments of inspiration. We had a friendly group of writers and everyone appeared to have a good time in class as well as in between while working on the assignments. -
Creative Writing 101: 6 Weeks
It was a small group which was beneficial for discussion and feedback. I do wish there was more time with the professor individually but that might be what the next tier is for. -
Fiction Writing Level 1 (Online)
I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in writing a short story or novel. In my class there were about 15-20 students with varying interest areas and writing experience. The major highlights were the teacher and the critiques. Our teacher, Varud, had a thoughtful perspective and response to nearly every question someone from the class threw at him. Beyond his knowledge and experience, he was incredibly attentive, kind, patient and encouraging. The second big benefit of the class was the critique process, called the "Booth" submissions. Twice throughout the class, you'll submit your work to be critiqued by the rest of the class. Each week, you'll read your classmates works and provide a critique. Both parts of that process are incredibly valuable. If I had to nitpick about things that could've been better - cut the exercises you do with classmates throughout the class and shave about 30-60 minutes off class time. While I got a lot from my classmates when reading their work or listening to their opinions on my writing, the mini exercises peppered throughout class didn't add much for me. Overall, I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in writing fiction! -
Memoir Writing Level 1: 10-Week Workshop
Was a good group of students but aside from critiquing each other’s work there was no syllabus, no teaching, no exercises. I stopped attending. Did not deliver what I expected. I did appreciate the feedback I received from the other students. -
The Editor’s Eye Level I: Two Day Intensive

Paul was engaging, encouraging, and you can tell he loves what he does, which spilled over into the way he interacted with us. Overall, great class— presented well, easy to follow with time for examples, short exercises, and questions. I really enjoyed it. -
Screenwriting I: 10 Week Workshop (Self-Paced)
I enjoyed the class and learned a lot. The instructor was enthusiastic, personable and knowledgeable and kept the information coming. He had excellent answers for any questions and made me want to take more classes on this subject. -
Creative Writing 101: 6 Weeks (Self-Paced)
This instructor had a wealth of info but I do wish he had used more modern or current day examples for resources as opposed to the classics that were mentioned. -

It was a great class! I learned plenty and am inspired as a result to forge ahead with my writing. I only wish we'd had more time to cover more of the material in detail. I think a three-day intensive might allow for that. -

Fantastic class! I've never taken a Creative Writing class before so I was a bit nervous but Janet Flora made it very comfortable as well as stimulating. She was a pleasure to have as a teacher. I learned a lot and feel very encouraged to continue to pursue creative writing. Great introduction and excellent experience. I will definitely be taking another class! -

I love that we were guided within the full 6 weeks on everything from Getting Started/Getting back to Writing Again to How to Publish/Get Yourself Out There and in between we learned great tips and ways to strengthen our writing. The Instructor Divya was also great, very patient, clear and encouraging. A great session for first time writers or for those who always used to write and are trying to find their way back! -

It was an engaging class that gave easy tips on what to look for when eduting a document. -
