  • Diego was a great instructor!! very prepared every class and moved at the pace of the students
  • Lots of fun, learned a lot from a knowledgable chef, and got to eat some delicious pasta! Got this as a gift for my wife's birthday and she loved it!
  • Really enjoyed the 3 week course. Raphael is a great artist & teacher. I didn’t have much experience with charcoal before but learned a ton and felt great about the piece i worked on in the class. Learned a lot about proportions and identifying values & shadows. Would definitely recommend!
  • We had such a fun and memorable time at the mixology class with Eric! He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made the whole experience feel effortless and fun. It was the perfect ladies night—great drinks, lots of laughs, and a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend this class to anyone looking for a unique and entertaining night out!
  • Great class! Highly recommend as a jumping off point if you’re interested in getting more into baking, or just want a fun afternoon!
  • This was a great experience! My spouse and I were complete beginners, and had so much fun learning the basics. The class was full but only fits maybe 12 or so people, so it wasn't intimidating and there was always help when we needed it from one of the two instructors. The main instructor seemed to be newer than the other one, not as confident but definitely very skilled. 2 hours was the perfect amount of time! Make sure to ask for extra ideas/tips once you've gotten the basics - the only group instruction was for the basics, but some people seemed to get some very cool extra techniques from the instructors walking around and helping.
  • Loved the teacher and also the group, had a great experience!
  • The ring making class was SO much fun! I’ve already recommended it to a few friends. We plan on doing the class again in the future!
  • Very engaging and didactic lesson. Teacher gave great tips and taught me a lot about basic techniques in just an hour. Will definitely be applying her tips in the future.
  • It was an amazing class! Our instructor was fun, kind, and funny. It was a very welcoming class and I plan to go back! Thank you!
  • Class was real good had fun groups then split up for just you and your partner, i will say you dont make the filling just an fyi, and all steps/ingredients sent via email after the class it was a fun experience will be signing up for more
  • Great class, the model bouquet arrangement was lovely and the class well organized. The experienced instructor carefully explained the steps and provided valuable tips and education.
  • We absolutely loved it. Chloe was a great and patient teacher and we will be back asap!!
  • Great class and loved Aiko! The food was fabulous. It would have been a little helpful to have some prep before the class (garlic peeled, potatoes and carrots peeled) to keep up the pace. But overall, really fun class and I learned a lot from the class. Thank you Aiko!
  • Great time and price
  • Lori was terrific. She was patient and a great teacher. I learned a lot and had so much fun. I highly recommend Lori at the Crafty Lounge!
  • Emily was excellent loved the project. Would definitely take another class soon!
  • The instructors were excellent.

  • One of the best classes I’ve ever been on. The instructor was so funny, everyone was having a blast, the vibe was great! The day was great. Learned some much. One hundred percent do it again and will! Looking forward for summer classes.
  • Genuinely loved Al. He was very attentive and gave everyone an opportunity to cut/ taste/ smell. He didn’t just follow the recipe exactly and allowed people to tweak it as we go, which made a much more fun and interactive experience. other than learning the ingredients of the recipes, i also learned tricks, tips, and techniques. Thank you again Al!
  • We had fun in the class with a good teacher. Came out with a pillow to take home. I enjoyed the class.
  • Enjoyed the class, very informative, but fast paced. The teacher worked with us well. Showed you the key things so you can work with ur own machine
  • I cannot express how much I loved this class! The instructor was THE BEST and her assistant was just as amazing!
  • Amazing class! Chef Samantha and team were great during the class!
  • Great class. Had fun and learned a lot. Good idea for couples.
  • Wonderful class with a great lesson on the history and techniques of Ikebana, the art of Japanese floral design. It was both informative and hands-on—I learned how to create my own arrangement and got to make one myself. We carefully took it apart for travel, and I was able to take home a vase, which was an additional $50 (clearly listed when booking). The class itself was $150, and well worth it! Shout out to TikTok for the inspiration. The teacher is very sweet and her work is stunning.
  • chloe was the instructor and so awesome
  • Class was great, relaxed environment with good people, model was excellent, highly recommend!
  • Justin the instructor was friendly and attentive while letting each of us work at our own speed. It was a fun, approachable introduction to pottery—it was a great way to end the work week!
  • The teacher was very knowledgeable and patient as well as encouraging. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
  • Junko is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met! Full of knowledge in the world of ikebana and makes it easy to learn, engage, and have fun. Highly recommend taking this course!
  • Varierande, lagom tempo och väldigt roligt. Som nybörjare från ett annat land kände jag mig väl omhändertagen ?
  • Class was very knowledgeable. The teacher was pleasant and helpful
  • Lemon was an incredible guide! The tour was a great mix of different types of chocolate, combined with interesting historical info about both chocolate and Harvard Square. The pace of the tour was excellent and Lemon had prepared all the stops for our arrival so we were able to get our chocolate treats right away.
  • I enjoyed the class, the instructor gave us personalized instruction, and I was happy to learn from a professional.
  • Amazing time and the chefs where amazing
  • Great instruction, fun and entertaining.
  • The instructor made the learning experience so fun and wonderful.
  • Jyl is a real pro. Master carver, great teacher. Well-designed introduction to stone carving.
  • Learned a lot of techniques in this class that I was missing in my drawings. Izzy was very thorough and knowledgeable.
  • Really enjoyed the class I learned so much looking forwards to taking this course again.
  • The class was, great, right on target. The chef/Instructor (Al)was patient, fun and very informative. He taught processes not just how to do things.
  • This was a delight! Michael Gaffney taught the class a ton of information in a clear and useful delivery. I had so much fun at the class, and I learned way more than I thought I would in just a few hours. Will definitely take another class.
  • The location was nice and spacious & the paella we prepared was delicious! It was a bigger class than expected but we enjoyed it a lot!
  • Excellent fresh pasta workshop, instructor, student group, work space and location!
  • Wildman Steve is incredibly knowledgeable, engaging and kind. This course has changed the way I walk in our city parks.
  • Awesome class!
  • There was a lot of one on one attention in teaching the techniques an the instructor was very interactive in her approach.
  • I found these classes to be a great way to add some movement to my routine and learn tennis skills in a low pressure and friendly environment.

Discover the Best Kid's Dance Classes Near Me

Kid's dance classes are a fun way for children to express themselves and learn the art of dance. These classes provide a safe and supportive environment where kids can explore various dance styles, develop coordination, and build confidence.

Dance has been a part of children's lives for centuries. From the Maypole Dance of northern Europe to the Chinese Lion Dance to lively Brazilian Samba, children have learned dance as a way to celebrate, communicate, and participate in cultural traditions.

Today, children can learn ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, and many other dance genres, allowing them to embrace their creativity and enjoy the benefits of movement and expression. Dance classes for kids not only foster physical development but also promote discipline, teamwork, and artistic appreciation.

Why Kids Should Learn Dance

Children naturally love to move their bodies in rhythm with music. They are full of energy and lack the inhibition that keeps adults off the dance floor. More than just a fun way to burn off steam, dance is a creative journey filled with joy, growth, and self-expression. When children learn to dance, they embark on a path of physical and emotional development that will expand their lives.

Dance boosts children’s fitness, strength, flexibility, and coordination, but it’s so much more than physical mastery. With each twirl, jump, and gesture, they find the freedom to express their individuality and let their spirits shine. Dance fosters confidence, discipline, and perseverance, qualities that extend far beyond the dance floor.

Kids will make new friends who share their love of dance, and become part of a community that promotes healthy movement, teamwork, and creative expression.

5 Ways for Kids to Learn Dance

Dance classes for kids are offered in many communities and online venues. Check out these five ways to learn kid’s dance:

  1. Formal dance classes at a local dance studio or community center offer age-appropriate dance classes. Professional instructors teach technique, choreography, and dance styles in a structured and supportive environment.
  2. Live online dance classes offer the live feedback of a teacher, but your child can take classes wherever you are, even if there are no kids’ dance programs in your community. Classes offer real-time dance instructions and a chance to engage with other kids in the class.
  3. Online tutorials on platforms like YouTube provide recorded dance lessons specifically designed for kids. These videos allow children to learn at their own pace, follow step-by-step instructions, and practice different dance styles from the comfort of their own homes.
  4. Dance camps and workshops held during school breaks or summer vacations provide an immersive dance experience. Children can learn from experienced instructors, interact with fellow dancers, and participate in exciting dance activities.
  5. Your child’s school may offer dance programs as part of their physical education or extracurricular activities. Encourage your child to join school dance clubs or participate in school productions, where they can learn dance routines and perform in front of an audience.

In-Person Kid's Dance Classes

Many kids learn best and stay engaged with a live, in-person teacher. They can immerse themselves in the social experience of dancing and move to the music along with their class. It’s helpful to have a close-up look at new dance moves, and a chance to ask questions as they go. In-person courses are a great way to get started and ramp up their skills quickly. Whether they want to learn ballet or hip hop, there’s a class to suit them.

What Will My Kids Need to Learn Dance?

You don’t need much for your kid to get started dancing, but for lessons, you’ll want to be prepared with a few basics. Remember, every child's dance journey is unique, and the most important thing is to nurture their love for dance while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Comfortable Clothing

Choose clothing for your child that allows them to move freely. Some dance styles have their own traditions, like a tutu for ballet or baggy pants and oversize shirts for hip-hop.

Proper Footwear

Wearing the right footwear helps your child master their dance moves. Ballet typically requires ballet shoes, while jazz or hip-hop may require jazz shoes or sneakers.

Dance Accessories

Some dance styles may require accessories like hair ties, headbands, or dance props. These add to the fun and provide another avenue for expression.

Water Bottle

Staying hydrated during dance sessions is crucial. Ensure your child has a water bottle to drink from during breaks.

Practice Space

Your child will bring their dance moves home, so set aside an area where they can practice. Clear the space of any obstacles and make room for them to move freely.

Music

Compile a playlist of music to set the rhythm for your child's dance practice. This makes it fun and keeps them engaged as they learn and practice their routines.

Positive Support

Learning dance, like learning anything new, has challenging moments. Provide your child with a supportive and encouraging environment. Celebrate their progress, offer constructive feedback, and remind them to have fun and enjoy the process.

Is It Difficult for Kids to Learn Dance?

With their innate creativity and boundless energy, dance is a natural expression for children. Kids instinctively move their bodies to the rhythm of music and explore ways to express themselves physically. Even so, mastering the movements of formal dance can be difficult, and it’s easier to learn with the help of an experienced teacher. As your child grows stronger and builds a connection with their body, even complex dance movements will feel natural to them.
