  • Fundamentals of Drawing & Painting

    Lora • April 13, 2025
I had no drawing experience prior to taking this course. Raphael is a great teacher and introduced me to concepts like measuring proportions, mark mapping, value scale. He broke things down in a way which was easy to understand, taught me to look at lines and lighting which was tremendously helpful. I was able to draw a still life using charcoal and pastel which even I am proud of. Usually my mind is distracted by many things, but when in Raphael’s class I am able to totally concentrate on drawing which he refers to as active meditation, so true! Raphael walks around and pays individual attention to each student, and has us look at each others work, which sounds daunting but actually is a fun experience. Since this class I’ve been sketching and looking at everything in a different light, becoming more observant and noticing much more details. I highly recommend this class!

After wasting time watching explanation videos online, I decided it was time to take an in-person photography lesson. Best decision ever to sign up and attend this class. Mindy is the best! Within 3 hours, we’d covered the basics and got to test what we’d learned. For anyone on the fence about whether this class is worth, it most certainly is. Felt so much more confident shooting in manual mode after this lesson. Looking forward to taking more lessons with them.

  • Fundamentals of Drawing & Painting (For Two)

    Anna Cho • April 6, 2025
My husband and I took this course as a way to get reintroduced into drawing and could not have asked for a better teacher than Raphael to ignite our passion to explore the arts and also appreciate life around us through the lens of an artist. Raphael not only teaches techniques such as mark mapping, grayscale values and working with charcoal, but also helps with your mindset towards the arts. I am a perfectionist and the arts always intimidated me because I always compared myself to artists who worked years at their craft and found my own art lacking. Raphael helped me overcome that mental obstacle and encouraged us to embrace our mistakes and reiterated that as a beginner its normal to make mistakes and that there is no shame in making them. Mistakes help us grow and even start to understand how to improve and even great artists take years to feel satisfied with their works. We are both so appreciative of being able to work in his art studio and have a meditative space to draw and polish our observation skills as we work on still life. It has felt like a little pocket space outside of the hustle and bustle of the city outside. Our skills have improved drastically from the first session to the last and we are looking forward to booking more time with Raphael who has been an incredible teacher. We love that he encourages us to appreciate our peer's work and share the things we love about their work because seeing their growth and talent is inspiring and their encouraging comments definitely make you feel more accomplished about your own work. I highly recommend Raphael and his class whether you are a budding artist or an already accomplished one because he is an encouraging and funny teacher. Always walk out of his class with a smile because we had a great time even after a long day.
  • Accelerated Introduction to Drawing

    Anonymous • April 1, 2025
The instructor was truly so helpful and took time to really cater the experience to exactly what I needed in my level of drawing. It definitely is an intro class and an introduction to the studio so do keep that in mind as a good chunk of the first hour was walking through the studio and talking about what services were offered etc. The instructor did gladly let me stay past the time to help me individually with my drawing which I so appreciated and everyone there was so helpful. I would definitely recommend if someone is considering full time classes at the studio for an introduction class.

  • Authentic Tagliatelle al Pesto

    John J. • March 18, 2025
Really nice class as i booked it for myself only. I was invited and placed with a family of 5 that was so nice. Learn how to make pasta with no machines but use your hands and correct tools, the really Italian way. I didn't realize that machines can heat up your ingredients for your sources and can ruin them. I am here in town for 6 months and wanted to do something over the weekend and these classes works for me and can for you too! Cheers!
  • Classic and Creative Cocktails

    John J. • March 18, 2025
I went there by myself and was welcomed by all. Class mates were all nice and friendly to talk too so, just get out and talk to them. We are all trying to learn something new together and why not corktail drinks! Teacher was great, and wanted us to really understand how good drinks are made and some wrong ways to avoid! Cheers!
  • Fundamentals of Drawing & Painting

    Celia • March 18, 2025
Raphael is such an incredible instructor. He assesses your current skill level (even if at 0 skill) and adjusts his guidance accordingly. Although in a group setting, it feels very personalized and tailored to each student. I feel invigorated to do more art in my free time and look forward to continuing learning under Raphael's guidance. Truly would give this 6 stars if that was an option. I was looking to learn how to blend colors and understand the fundamentals of a drawing/painting so that I can grow my skill set to feel confident enough to call myself an artist. In just 3 sessions, I do feel that confidence! Couldn't be more grateful for these sessions, they are FABULOUS!
  • Authentic Tagliatelle al Pesto

    Tyler D. • March 17, 2025
The instructor was great honestly. She was super helpful, friendly, and inclusive of everyone. I think my only complaint with the experience was that the cooking class was not held in a kitchen and the class was not as communal as I would have expected or liked. I would recommend the experience to a friend though.
  • Paint and Sip Workshop: Midtown (BYOB)

    Kenny H. • March 17, 2025
Overall, I like the course very much. It's affordable and located in the heart of Manhattan. The workshop itself feels very artsy, welcoming and comfortable. I also like that I can BYOB. The instructor is also very friendly and easy to interact with. All the supplies are provided to make for a very smooth experience. My only complaint is that the instructor is going a little too fast for me. Perhaps this course could benefit from a 30-minute extension? Overall, wonderful experience and I would definitely book again.
  • Pottery Wheel Throwing

    Kristina K. • March 17, 2025
My family and I took the pottery class in New York City. It was an amazing experience. The instructors were very thorough and helped us a lot. We were very new to pottery and using the wheel, but they came around and helped us when we were lost. I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in learning how to use the pottery wheel and basic techniques.
  • Fundamentals of Drawing & Painting

    Franz Lino S. • March 14, 2025
This was a fantastic fundamentals of drawing & painting class. The class can be very personal, where you're taught at your skill/experience level so it doesn't ever feel like you're "behind" others. Also, just learning the mark-mapping technique alone made a huge improvement in my drawing which was great. Excited to continue going!
  • Handmade Dumplings

    Mahmudul H. • March 13, 2025
The teacher was very informative with his instructions. And came to every table to help. He also gave us the recipe at the end of the class
  • Paint and Sip Workshop: Chelsea (BYOB)

    Shauna P. • March 12, 2025
Really fantastic! Patricia was a jovial, funny and patient instructor. I was with a group of seven and we all had a phenomenal time!
  • Cake Decorating 101

    Stephanie H. • March 12, 2025
I had so much fun and learned a ton! Halo was a great instructor. She was very clear about her step by step instructions. 10/10 would recommend.
  • Craft Cocktail Making @ Upscale Speakeasy

    shaniqua b. • March 12, 2025
I absolutely loved the class. I learned a lot about balancing flavors, the different types of alcohol. Along with how different fresh ingredients can make a coctail shine with.
  • Hands-On Pasta Making

    Stephanie S. • March 12, 2025
My partner and I recently attended a couples pasta making class, and it was an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with friendly and attentive instructors who made us feel right at home. Though we encountered a few humorous bumps in our pasta-making journey (who knew dough could be so stubborn?), the instructors were incredibly patient and supportive, guiding us through each step with care and expertise. Their passion for pasta and teaching was truly inspiring, and their encouragement kept us smiling and laughing throughout the class. The hands-on approach allowed us to learn new skills together, creating lasting memories and delicious pasta! The class was well-organized, informative, and above all, a fantastic way to spend quality time with my partner. We left with full hearts and satisfied appetites, already planning our next culinary adventure. If you're looking for a fun, unique date night that combines learning, laughter, and delicious food, we highly recommend this couples pasta making class! ?❤️

Discover the Best SQL Classes Near Me

SQL, which is short for structured query language, is a domain-specific programming language that was created nearly five decades ago to access and manage the data contained in a relational database management system (DRBMS). SQL remains the most widely used database language across the globe and is relied on by nearly all organizations that store relational data. Major companies, such as Uber, Google, Facebook, and Amazon, all use SQL to help with data management. Because SQL was built on common English syntax, this language is considered relatively easy to learn.

Due to its flexibility and versatility, SQL has applications across industries and professions, such as software engineering, database administration, data analytics, and business analytics. SQL’s uses extend beyond programming tasks. This language helps those who work in marketing or sales perform queries on datasets to locate sales trends and evaluate the success of marketing campaigns. It also has applications for helping financial professionals search through vast volumes of financial information. SQL can provide data professionals with a more robust understanding of how data is structured within their organization. Those with advanced SQL training can perform complex queries that can retrieve a huge amount of useful information that helps solve pressing business problems.

Best SQL Classes & Schools

Learning SQL in the in-person training format provides students with the hands-on training needed to communicate with relational databases. If you’re interested in selecting an in-person SQL class most suited to your learning needs, the following section will explore some of the best options for classes with approaching start dates.

NYC Career Centers–SQL Bootcamp (In-Person in NYC and Live Online)

Those interested in learning how to work with Microsoft SQL Server can enroll in NYC Career Centers SQL Bootcamp. This hands-on course teaches students how to find and retrieve the information in databases using SQL to execute queries. Instruction is also offered on other SQL topics like aggregating data, joining tables, and filtering results. This bootcamp combines three NYC Career Centers Classes, SQL Level 1, 2, and 3, into one class. Participants complete lessons using Microsoft SQL Server and the SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) application, which is free, for exploring and querying databases. The information taught in this class can be applied to different SQL flavors, such as MySQL and Postgre SQL.

This course consists of either three or six sessions, depending on whether the participant wishes to study full-time or part-time. All students have the option of a free retake of this class for up to one year. A class recording of each session is available in the learner’s student portal following the session’s conclusion; these recordings can be accessed for a month following course completion.
