Fine Art (Ages 6-12)

At Alyce's Art Studio we are dedicated to creating a curriculum that encourages self-expression, teaches traditional skills, reflects contemporary ideas, and is centered around the needs of the individual.

• We offer an individualized art program with step-by-step instruction. 

• 1:6 teacher student ratio.

• Our specially designed curriculum consists of 6 levels. Students are placed in each level based on experience and comprehension.

• As our young artists progress through the program they will learn techniques to see the world around them and translate this newfound vision into the two-dimensional world of drawing. 

• Our talented staff will show students how to break down complex objects and forms into basic shapes, how to develop form, line, shape, value, and texture so that students are able to bring their imagination and ideas to life.

• Students will learn how to create dynamic artwork using pencil, charcoal, graphic markers, collage materials, print-making materials and oil pastel mediums and gradually be exposed to watercolor, acrylic and oil painting. 

• Students will explore theory and techniques of color mixing and painting by referencing the artwork of recognizable influential artists.Through being exposed to famous artists, they will gain a thorough understanding of both the technical and visual history of art.
