Patient Navigator Training Program

Patient navigation skills are becoming increasingly more sought after across many of the fastest growing and most in-demand occupations in healthcare. Enhance your career as a Home Health Aide, Medical Assistant or LVN by acquiring care coordination skills and knowledge used in hospitals, clinics and other patient care settings. Through lectures and interactive discussions with the instructor, learn what you need to know to participate on the healthcare team to assist patients in identifying healthcare resources and in implementing care plans. The course will cover a broad range of topics important to providing effective patient navigation support, including an overview of the healthcare system, medical insurance and ethics and law within healthcare environments. This course provides 45hours of classroom instruction. A certificate of completion is awarded upon successful completion of the course. Your tuition includes the mandatory text book.  

Prerequisite: 
You must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Ideally, you should be either working in patient care (as an Home Health Aide, Medical Assistant, LVN or in a similar occupation) or have completed training related to these careers.
