What you'll learn in this bread making class:

Master the art of making warm, chewy bagels, topped with a smear of flavored cream cheese in your own kitchen!

Wouldn’t be fun to be able to make really great bagels at home in your own kitchen? You can and it’s easier than you think!

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to make these fun and delicious twice-cooked comfort food at home.

You’ll learn to mix, proof, shape, boil, and bake New York City-worthy bagels, with classic toppings like sesame and poppy seeds, and filled with cinnamon and raisins. Plus, you’ll learn to make flavored cream cheese and butter that will make your bagels shine.

You’ll leave class with a dozen warm, chewy bagels, compound butter and flavored cream cheese, recipes, and the skills and know-how to make world-class bagels at home, any time!  

Ingredients and supplies you'll need:

  • Flour
  • Salt
  • Brown Sugar
  • Yeast
  • Cornmeal
  • Baking soda
  • Cream Cheese or Butter
  • Toppings of your choice: raisins, cinnamon, garlic, onion, poppy seeds, shredded cheese, dried herbs, etc.
  • Silicone Spatula
  • Baking Sheet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Large Spoon
  • Cutting board
  • Kitchen Knife or bench scraper
  • Large Pan
  • Slotted Spoon


Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
