Beginner Acting I: The Basics
It was a transformative experience for me. In the past 8 weeks, our class went from strangers to close pals. We played “zip zap zop” games, memorized each other's names, acted out skits, learned the 5 W's - what, why, where, when, and who - and performed play excerpts and monologues. I explored a different side of myself - a more verbal, aggressive, louder, more expressive side. The acting tools we learned are not only useful in acting but in real life, such as conversational tools, you know what I mean, casting, the unimportant, urgency, impulse, gun drop, and more. The class made me feel so emotionally secure that I cried while acting Prima Facie. I am thankful for every member's 100% commitment. It was an unforgettable experience. -
