Creative Use of Nature's Light in Landscapes & Cityscapes
Join acclaimed Argentinian nature photographer, teacher and documentary filmmaker Ossian Lindholm for this immersive learning experience. Learn photographic techniques that will help you achieve dramatic images in a range of nature’s light.
Part 1: We'll investigate exposing for natural light, a new approach to find the proper exposure. We’ll learn how to take advantage of the dynamic range and tonal range of our camera, discuss overcoming digital noise and the problems of highlights.
Part 2: We will explore how the camera’s light meter works, light meter modes, using the histogram to achieve correct exposure, the problem of digital shadows and the fundamentals and practical examples of Exposing to the Right technique (ETTR).
Level: Intermediate
Required Skills: Familiarity with your camera's settings and functions, shooting in Manual Mode and how to control Depth of Field.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
