Gluten Free cookies don’t have to be dry, overly sweet or have an odd after taste. Learn to make Gluten Free Cookies that were simply born to be gluten free. No weird substitutes. Just quality all natural ingredients that happen to be gluten free and lend themselves to tender, melt in your mouth, noteworthy cookies.
In this class you will learn how to make almond paste from scratch and how to use a double boiler to melt smooth and shiny chocolate. You will be able to define “creaming” and “tempering”. You will choose the right baking equipment. You’ll understand how the temperature of ingredients impacts baking results and why chilling dough is critical. We will bake the following:
- Almond Horns, aka Mandelhoernchen
- Triple Dark Chocolate Sea Salted Truffle Cookies
- Peanut Butter and Jelly Thumbprint Cookies
Choose to make 1, 2 or 3 recipes. These are simply my favorites. We will also discuss countless other naturally gluten-free cookies and desserts you can bake on your own for the holidays!
There is some prep required for this class. Recording is also available.
What You Need:
- basic baking ingredients
- sheet pans
- mixer (hand held or stand)
- mixing bowls
- measuring cups and spoons
You will receive a detailed list of ingredients and materials needed as well as the recipes and prep instructions 1 week before the class.
