In this class, participants will learn the basics of online streaming. The course will provide knowledge of the required hardware and software to get started in the video streaming industry and strategies on how to grow your platform. Strategies that will taught includes: building a reward system, keeping stream chats active, editing your content, building a merchandise store, and much more. At the end of the course, you will have the tools and knowledge to build an online following as you discover a new business venture.
This course falls under the Critical Thinking and IT Literacy Institutional Level Outcomes (ILOs).
Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify the necessary equipment required to stream online
- To create engaging content for viewers
- Understand the basics of video editing
- Recognize different streaming platforms to upload content
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
