Description

Learn to shade and render complex forms on the human figure in graphite, working with one model and the same pose for three sessions. We will guide you from capturing accurate gesture and proportion, to understanding light physics and gradients to render realistic volumes.

This class is suited for intermediate and advanced artists. Demos and individual critiques daily.

Instruction tailored to all skill levels.

Materials List:

Strathmore 400 series Drawing Paper
smallest 9”x12” or largest 18”x24” 4H, 2H, H, HB pencils (Staedler brand recommended)
Kneaded eraser
Tombow mono zero eraser, round tip (highly recommended)

Important Information

The doors to our events open 15 minutes before each session. If you arrive before then, there is no room to wait inside the building, so please plan accordingly. The doorman will direct you to the classroom.

This event occurs on the third floor of a building without an elevator. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the monitor.

There is no photography when the model is posing.

Refund Policy

No refund unless the school cancels the class.

No refund or credit for missed sessions (No Exceptions).

No credits unless notified 48 hours ahead of the class.

We do honor change-of-date requests for in-person sketch classes with at least 5 business days' notice and for workshops with 8 business days' notice.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
