Fabrication: Everything You Need to Know
Hard to imagine a more knowledgeable instructor for this subject! Definitely a class aimed at people who work in a fabric or fiber related industry--- personally I would have loved a little more on the history or economics of various fabrics, but I think that would maybe fall under a different class heading. I would highly recommend this class and this instructor (Lisa Kesselman) for anyone who wants practical knowledge for use in industry or design. -

Beginner's Fashion Drawing Studio
I was a bit nervous to take this class because I'm very much a beginner at drawing in general, let alone fashion drawing. But it was a very laid-back environment, and Professor Broadway was so encouraging of everyone, no matter our skill levels. I had so much fun and was sad when the last class ended! I also learned a ton from both the professor and other students in the class, some of whose work was very inspiring. I definitely plan to keep up with this new hobby, and might take the class again next year. Would definitely recommend it! -

Fashion Illustrator Steven Broadway leads these 2 session 6-hour fashion drawing marathon as an opportunity for drawers of all levels to practice and improve their skills. All skill levels are accommodated as he offers drawing introductions for newbies and guides veteran artist to strengthen their skill. Broadway usually has 2 - 3 live models with an array of fashion clothing to help ignite your illustrating imagination. Music plays throughout to help charge and relax the atmosphere depending on the time of hour. The whole block is dedicated to drawing. Time goes by so quickly you don't feel the 6 hours. There is a regular set of attendees so the class is always energized and ready to draw for the entire duration. There is a scheduled break to share work and learn from others' style. This is a great way to get drawing and technique ideas.If you have taken Professor Broadway's Fashion and Accessory Illustration courses this live model practice is your next step. The price has doubled but this is due to tuition increase by FIT. I purposefully save up so I can attend. Its worth it. -

All skill levels are accommodated as he offers drawing introductions for newbies and guides veteran artist to strengthen their skill. Broadway usually has 2 - 3 live models with an array of fashion clothing to help ignite your illustrating imagination. The class is now offered in 3 4-hour sessions in the evening. It is non-stop drawing. The whole block is dedicated to drawing. Time goes by so quickly you don't feel the 4 hours. There is a regular set of attendees so the class is always energized and ready to draw for the entire duration. Work is shared at the end. This is a great way to get drawing and technique ideas. I have not attended a session that actually goes over the mood boards. I have the supplies just incase. But I am content with just drawing. If you have taken Professor Broadway's Fashion and Accessory Illustration courses this live model practice is your next step development. Time does move along quickly when you are really engaged in drawing. These sessions welcome all levels. If you've never drawn before you are definitely welcome to attend. And you learn best by doing and looking at works from experienced artist. The instructor, Steven Broadway, is an amazing artist and creates a tranquil yet energized drawing environment.
