Marian Grealish’s experience and knowledge is phenomenal. There are few people who know as much as her about machine knitting. Classes at places other than FIT for non-matriculating students wont come close to what you’ll pick up in the beginners and level two combined. Marian is sweet and wants to teach you what she knows. She’s been teaching it for 25 years and doing it for 40. A great opportunity.

I gave the rating above because of several reasons. I came in and thought machine knitting would be a great skill to learn and I know more then I did when walking into the classroom, but not as much as I would have wanted. The professor that taught the class said she's been all over in the fashion industry which is great and she's very knowledgeable and knows what she's talking about as I myself am in the industry but, there was a serious disconnect when it came to wanting to teach. I noticed that she would get aggravated when techniques she showed to the whole class you didn't get on your first try and would have to show you again. I though that was disrespectful especially when you are a teacher you should know your going to have to show students more then once how to use machines they've never used before in there life. On that note I liked the class even though it was a short amount of time and what it was about but not the teacher teaching it because I didn't get to fully understand it without having to worry about her getting mad that I didn't understand what she said the first time.
