What you'll learn in this sewing class:

Are you tired of paying the tailor way to much money to make simple fixes to your wardrobe?

Do you have a pile of clothing that could totally be worn, if only you could get the hem fixed, shortened or you could replace the missing buttons?

This class will easily pay for itself in the very first button & hem you sew. You'll leave the class ready to replace any button, as well as hem anything and everything, even if you don't own a sewing machine.

This class will cover:
  • How to sew a casual hem using a sewing machine.
  • How to sew a blind (unseen) hem, by hand.
  • How to securely & easily hand sew all types of buttons include buttons with 2 holes, 4 holes & shank buttons.

Refund Policy
You must sign up for a class either online, in person, or by telephone BEFORE a class to be guaranteed a spot. It's best to sign up at least a few days before the class to ensure your spot, as well as to help us properly plan for the class. Classes fill up frequently. You can always try dropping in on a class, but there may not be room for you in a class and in this case you will be turned away.

M Avery Designs reserves the right to cancel a class that does not have sufficient enrollment. If this happens to a class you are signed up for, you will be notified at least 24 hours before the class starts. You can choose to have the cost of the class refunded or to apply the balance of the class to your account to be used for a future class.

There are no monetary refunds for canceling any adult or children's class or private lesson.

Please let us know as soon as you can if for some reason you have to cancel or reschedule a private sewing lesson or group class. Group classes can be rescheduled only if there is a future occurrence of the class.

Due to the hands-on nature of all our classes & workshop, there is very limited space in all our classes! No shows and last minute cancelations (within 48 hour of the class) cannot reschedule. Here's what you can do:

If there is another occurrence, you can email us the night before it happens. If that session is not already full, you can attend the next day. However, we will not reserve space for you in a second class, if you miss your first.

The class was great, in fact the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that I think it should be 3 hours instead of 2 so you have more time to practice.
