The five elements are the basis for many Taoist longevity practices that emphasize harmony and balance. The original Taoist sages who developed them were among the first internal “ecologists,” experimenting with how the different energies of the elements of Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, and Earth (and the organs where they manifest) relate to each other.
The instructor will share his understanding and practice of the Taoist concept and theory of the five elements, their related emotional and energetic meanings, and the significance of yin and yang and their integration into the Creation Cycle. Using exercises including the Energy-Moving & Multiplying Meditation, we will apply this profound knowledge of energy and human life to balancing our chi.
