How to Create Dynamic Website/Blog w/ WordPress (PC)

This class is exactly as it is described: a comprehensive introduction to creating a website or blog with WordPress. The instructor was engaging and students have the chance to practice the techniques discussed. I would recommend this course for anyone looking to start WordPress!

I was disappointed with the course I bought because prior to my decision making of buying this course, I read your description where it clearly stated that the course was intended for people with no experience on computer graphics or coding. I felt very lost throughout the class as I do not have any knowledge with these areas and therefore felt behind in many of the teachers explanations. Furthermore, the course was U$325,00, which should have exceeded my expectations.

It was a great experience taking this Wordpress course. It was very informative and the instructor was very patient with both tech on non-tech savvy students. The course gives you great groundwork to build your own website and/or blog, I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed this day-long intensive WordPress class, Scott is very knowledgeable & helpful on all aspects. One suggestion: a printed hand-out of the material covered and the manual pages (which Scott was calling out across class as we worked on specific elements). That would be helpful because more than taking notes as you go through this class, practicing WordPress on your workstation is the point.

Scott was amazing. I am not computer savy at all . I am currently in the process of setting my own blog. He was very detailed oriented. He explains everything very well. I am now very confident to start my own blog using his tips , tools and techniques

Instructor was well prepared; covered a lot of material in one day.

The course was well presented and very informative. There was a manual that the instructor went over and each student replicated the steps in the manual on their computer to recreate the blog page from the manual on WordPress through Hostgator. The manual is very detailed and can be used after the course is over once you are at home. The instructor moved quickly through the material and covered the whole manual. The instructor continually asked for questions. However, we did not have time to work specifically on our own WordPress site, only on the one from the manual. While I did feel confident when I left the class, I discovered when I returned home and found that the Bluehost and Hostgator version of WordPress do not look the same. Thus my initial feeling of competence was lost. It would have been helpful to have at least an hour to work on our own site to be able to apply what we learned to our own blog and to get targeted support on our own work.

Very informative if you know NOTHING about WordPress. Will teach you basics & how to make your site look Presentable/Dynamic. Teacher was very helpful, spoke wonderfully, & answered any questions that we may have had. It was a small class of about 5 people, which i enjoyed, makes the class seem more focused and it helps with people trying to chat with each other. The discussion flowed very easily and he helped me understand everything, even things i thought i knew. It has definitely made me take a step back & slow down when it comes to my site. I took a lot of of this class and plan on applying it to my current job. They also provided coffee, water, and snacks. Which was greatly appreciated. We got 1 hour lunch around noon. Its in the middle of 14th st union sq. so there are plenty of food options. - **I Wish there was an extension to this class :)

Enjoyed the class, very informative. Scott gave simple examples to explain the technical jargon. The second part of the course went really fast but the pdf they provided is a great reference; explains in detail., step by step. I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone interests in learning WordPress on a professional level.

Scott provided great content and happily answered questions from the group throughout our session. The small group environment was perfect for understanding the depth and breadth of Wordpress and how to create websites. The fact we actually created a website during the day was awesome.

I thought that Scott was very good at getting us to understand the basics that allow for us to produce a high end website. He gave us tips and best practices when it came to WP specific needs, such as plug-ins and template options, and was able to answer all of our questions. I come from a digital production background, so I was able to grasp the technical aspects of this class very quickly.

Great class! The inductor, Scott was excellent. Explained everything well and was easy to follow. I would definitely recommend.

There was a great deal of information to absorb in one day. The instructor knew his stuff, but the class would be better if it were taught over several days, for shorter periods of time.

I am a beginning Wordpress user and blogger--I found this course extremely helpful providing insight into using Wordpress effectively. Scott was a great instructor, extremely knowledgeable and helpful in unlocking the power and utility of Wordpress.

Great overview of WordPress. Instructor spoke fast, but covered a lot, was clear and willing to answer questions. Definitely recommend!
