What you'll learn in this asbestos class:

This 3-day course combines lectures, discussions, and hands-on experience to accredit inspectors as per AHERA and ASHARA regulations. The course also satisfies the training requirements for NYS RHIII and NYC investigator.

Any person who performs the limited tasks involved in the survey, identification and assessment of the condition of asbestos and asbestos material and the recording and reporting thereof, or who is involved in the collection of bulk samples of asbestos material or suspected asbestos material for laboratory analysis shall possess a valid inspector certificate and shall have such certificate or a copy thereof in his/her possession at all times while working on the project.

Additional Fees: 
  • NY State Department of Labor License Fee: $100
  • NYC DEP Investigator License Fee: $ 250

  • However, substitutions and transfers to a subsequent course are permitted at any time.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

    Good teaching but way to short of a class to cover what is required as a professional asbestos inspector This course should be 3 weeks long to ensure that this type of inspection work is done to proper standards

Yes, you can but the rules have changed you can work as an inspector in New York State but have to work under an NYS investigators license to do work in the NYC.

Is this course only for who holds an inspector license? Or for any person who is involved in construction?

Anyone can take the asbestos inspector. It is a 3-day course. That is usually for people doing asbestos inspections. Construction guys really need the asbestos hazard awareness which is anything from 2 to 8 hours.
