What you'll learn in this mold class:

The 5 day Combo course is for individuals that will perform Mold inspection and Remediation. Course topics will cover hazard assessment and mold remediation plans. This course will lead to a certification in Mold Assessor and Mold Remediation Contractor (two separate certifications). New York State regulations require any individual performing mold assessment and Remediation to attend an accredited mold assessor and Remediation training program.

Upon successful completion of the course, student will have to submit an application to New York State Department of Labor Licensing unit to obtain a license.

Course Content:

  • Introduciton to health effects
  • Workplace hazards - PPE, Respirators, Asbestos, Confined spaces, etc.
  • Overiew of Regulations
  • Visual inspections
  • Measurement equipment
  • Biological sampling strategies
  • Work practices, documention and forms
  • Clearance testing and procedures
  • Basics of HVAC systems
  • Interpreting sampling results / survey protocol
  • Writing mold remediation plans
  • Post remediation clearance testing  

New York State now requires all Mold Assessors and Mold Remediation Contractors to be licensed.

Students will take both Mold Remediation Contractor Exam and Mold Assessor exam and receive two separate certificates.

Refund Policy

  • To receive a full refund less 5% cancellation fee, email us at least 6 business days prior to the course start date.
  • If course cancellation request is received in less than 6 business days a service charge of $50 will be deducted.
  • However, substitutions and transfers to a subsequent course are permitted at any time.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any course for any reason, including insufficient enrollment.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
