The Saturday crowds at the Met receded into the background as we focused on contour, light and shading, and learned some techniques for pencil control. First hour was instruction and exercises, and in the second hour we put our new knowledge into practice as we went into the galleries to draw from observation, as the instructor went around to each of us offering suggestions and comments, atelier-style. -
