As a continuation of Digital Painting I, students apply everything learned in the previous course (basic perspective, human anatomy, and tone & value) with more advanced techniques and skills. The class begins to cover dynamic camera angles, as well as more complex gestures and anatomy. Anyone who wishes to enroll without having taken Digital Painting I must first submit a portfolio of 7-12 pieces to be considered for this class.
In this perspective-based course, students learn how to apply all types of camera angles from establishing shots to high/low angle shots. This course teaches various cinematic camera angles and character camera angles to develop a more visually compelling narrative. Additionally, students learn the basics of concept art and visual development through character, environment, and prop design.
