This class is a shorter version of the Make Your Own Watercolor: "Classics" class. For this Basics version, we've decided to keep costs down by not including the metal travel case/palette in the cost. We'll have the metal palettes available to purchase on the day of the class if you'd like to get one.
Learn how to transform pure pigments and gum arabic into highly-saturated watercolor paints. The ratio of binder to pigment will be emphasized. This class offers a selection of 15-25 pigments that vary in characteristics- gritty, fine, opaque, transparent, earth, synthetic, pearlescent, etc. You will make 8 full pans of paint.
Keep in mind that these paints will be liquid/fragile at the end of the class. It is possible to take them with you right after the class, but we do recommend allowing them to dry for a couple of days at the shop before coming back to take them home.
