In this course, students learn the basic functions of Zbrush Core and familiarize themselves with the sculpting process. Classes focus on sculpting from simplified forms to create polished 3D models, while learning several tools from Zbrush Core’s interface such as dynamesh, Zspheres, masking, and extracting. Throughout the course, each student will develop their understanding of the program by designing a creature or character using various sculpting techniques.
The course teaches the basics of ZBrush by assigning small projects on a weekly basis. Students begin by sculpting a simple character, and then move onto larger projects as the class progresses. Concepts such as working with the interface, creating basic geometry, and basic sculpting concepts will also be covered.
