Q&A

Q: I am semi-comfortable with my DSLR and have been shooting for awhile, but I still shoot in P, not Manual. Is this the right class for me?

A: Yes, this will definitely be a great learning experience for you. P mode is a semi-automatic mode, so the photographer has limited control and the camera is still making many decisions. In this class, you will learn to take full control in manual mode. You will learn how to set the ISO, aperture and shutter to get the look you want.

Q: I see if I book Digital Photography I - Taking Control of Your Camera through PhotoUno directly, I'll receive free access to the beginner photography course online. Do I receive the same access if I book through CourseHorse?
A:
Yes, CourseHorse students are offered the same perks at PhotoUno as their students are offered directly.

Q: Are Materials provided and included in the cost of the class?

A: We do provide handouts, but we do not provide the cameras.

Materials you will need to bring to class:
  • DSLR camera, Mirrorless camera or Compact camera, which has Aperture (A/Av) Priority, Shutter (S/Tv) Priority and Manual Mode.
Q: Can I make up a class if I miss one?
A:
Yes, we do provide make up class options.

Q: Is a certificate of completion available to me after completing their class?
A: Yes

Q: Is a professional certificate available to me after completing their class?
A: No

Good introduction to some essential photo techniques. Learned a lot of practical concepts. The exercises became a bit repetitive though. Wish there was more variety / practicing new skills towards the end.
