Description
What you'll learn in this sculpture class:
Our approach is based around close observation from life, and an emphasis on anatomical structure and form relationships. Studying form relationships in the portrait and/or figure will inform students on how to think three-dimensionally, judging likeness with volume and mass, and learning to read depth.
We will cover basic “block-in” technique, learning how to accurately establish the large relationships of the portrait and/or figure, before moving on to modeling and finishing techniques for clay.
The class will include sculpting demonstration, constructive critiques, and lecture. No experience is necessary, teaching will be tailored to individuals.
Refund Policy
- If the school cancels a studio workshop, student will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
- If a student cancels more than 21 business days before the start:
- Refund to the credit card paid minus $50 cancellation fee per week per workshop.
- If a student cancels 21 business days or fewer, but more than 8 business days before start:
- Refund to the credit card paid minus $100 cancellation fee per week per workshop.
- If a student cancels 8 business days or fewer before start date:
- There is no refund or credit.
- No refunds are given after a workshop has started.
Please note we are not responsible for any fees associated with a student having to cancel or change travel plans, including hotel and flight if the school or the student cancels a class, workshop or changes its schedule.
