Let your palate decide how Ireland stacks up against Japan—two whisky-loving nations with distinct histories and styles. The side-by-side tasting and discussion allows the different flavors and aromas to truly pop. See which country reigns supreme on your palate as we taste and discuss these heavyweight whisky regions.

Classes are 2 hours long, including a Q&A session with Astor Center Instructor, Robin Robinson.

What you can expect:

  • 3 Tasting pours of Irish whiskey
  • 3 Tasting pours of Japanese whisky
  • Palate-cleansing bread & cheese
  • A 15% discount on all spirits tasted to use in-store after class
What you will learn:

  • The distinct flavor profiles of Irish and Japanese whiskies
  • The histories of distilling in Ireland and Japan, and how they relate to each other
  • Distillation methods and aging techniques in Ireland and Japan
  • How to taste and describe whisky
  • How to navigate whisky selections with confidence

All class purchases are non-refundable.

Class reservations can be exchanged up to 72 hours prior to the date of the class for another class of equal or lesser value. Classes may also be transferred to another attendee by emailing [email protected] 24 hours before the start of the class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
