What you'll learn in this jewelry making class:
For jewelry entrepreneurs new to the secretive diamond industry, its labyrinth-like complexity can seem intimidating. This fascinating and enlightening tour will introduce students to diamond cutting facilities as well as diamond dealers and appraisers. With the popularity of old mine cut and old European cut diamonds, we’ve added a visit to an antique diamond dealer who sells these magnificent gems.
Why you should attend this event:
Q: Can I make up a class if I miss one?
A: You are allowed one absence for a class. You will be able to make plans with the instructor on the first day of class to make arrangements to get any missed assignments. Usually you will meet the instructor 1 hour before the next class (following the class missed) to get caught up. Assignments can be emailed ahead of time.
Why you should attend this event:
- See how rough diamonds are cut to reflect their true brilliance
- Meet the diamond dealers and learn how diamond are sorted and sold
- Learn how appraisers evaluate jewelry and about the equipment they use.
- Meet an antique diamond dealer to see old mine and old European cuts
- Visit the Diamond Dealers Club see where diamond dealers buy and sell diamonds
Q: Can I make up a class if I miss one?
A: You are allowed one absence for a class. You will be able to make plans with the instructor on the first day of class to make arrangements to get any missed assignments. Usually you will meet the instructor 1 hour before the next class (following the class missed) to get caught up. Assignments can be emailed ahead of time.
Refund Policy
- You must cancel at least 8 business days before the class start date in order to receive a full refund less 5% cancellation fee.
- If the cancellation is made less than 8 business days before the start date, half of the course fee will be forfeited and half will be held as credit to your account for future registrations.
Credit will be available for 3 months from the cancellation date to be applied to another class or workshop, after 3 months the credit will expire.
No refunds/credits once a class or workshop has begun.
