What you'll learn in this casting class:

Ever wondered what ladling hot, molten glass would be like? Then this class is for you! The goal of this class is to give a brief introduction to the hot glass casting process. Students will be introduced to a variety of mold materials that can be applicable to the medium of hot glass. Using a more immediate mold material such as sand, students will be able to create their own glass object from the negative created within the sand. Introductions, explanations and demonstrations of other molding materials will also be given during the class to show the variety and level of detail achievable with this process.

School Notes:

Preparing for class

It is recommended that students bring notebooks and water bottles to in person classes. All basic materials and supplies needed for the class will be provided. If students wish to use specific tools or materials not supplied in class they are responsible for obtaining these items themselves.

Studio Attire

For your safety, protective eyewear must be worn at all times in all areas of the UrbanGlass Studio. We will provide appropriate eyewear for your use. Appropriate work clothes are also required. Flammable or synthetic fabrics, sandals and open-toe shoes are not allowed. Long hair must be tied back.

Refund Policy

Enrollment cancellations made outside sixteen (16) days from the first day of class are eligible for a refund less a 5% processing fee. Refunds will not be granted for any cancellations made inside sixteen (16) days from the first day of class, or for withdrawals during class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
