The Decoration and Design Building, familiarly known as The D&D, has been the hub of New York's Interior Design world for more than 40 years. Located in the heart of Manhattan, 979 Third Avenue between 58th and 59th Streets, it is known nationally and internationally as the world's most glamorous home with over 130 exceptional furniture and textile showrooms. In The D&D you will find the finest examples of furniture craftsmanship and luxurious fabrics as well as down-to-earth resources to suit any client's budget. Spend the afternoon with Judy Sheridan, ASID, CID, the distinguished Interior Designer and author as she introduces you to the showrooms that are legend, explaining how best to approach client shopping, reviewing upholstery details and terminology, and helping you find your comfort level in this building. The tour will highlight the Romo, Dakota Jackson, Lee Jofa, Kravet, Armani / Casa, John Rosselli showrooms, and many more. Students meet in The D&D main lobby at the concierge desk, 15 minutes before the course is scheduled to begin.
