Meets 6 Times
A writing workshop with poet & comedian Arti Gollapudi. A 101 in writing short comedic nonfiction pieces starting - from how to start writing to how to write a collection. Tips and tricks on how to edit, collaborate with other writers, DIY print, and get your writing out there. Over the course of this six-week class, each student will produce three short written pieces to a collaborative blog space featuring the pieces - as well as a final performance of the written work. Students will finish class with the know-how to take the next steps to submit their work to publications such as The New Yorker, indie poetry websites (such as Wax Nine), or even creating zines to table at art book fairs.
Class Show: TBD after final class.
Where: Online on ZOOM. All students need is a strong internet connection and a distraction-free space for the duration of the session.
Class payments are non-refundable.
In the event you have to drop a class before it begins and give us at least 8 business days notice, we can credit your tuition toward a future class.
In the event a class fails to meet a minimum number of sign-ups (6 enrollments), students will be notified by email and given the option to transfer into another class, keep a class credit on the books, or offered a full refund - whichever is preferable to the student.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
