Brooklyn Craft Company is a brick-and-mortar space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn featuring modern craft + DIY classes and events.
Our class offerings include:
It was a good introduction to punch needle. I would have liked to learn more techniques and/or create images.
This was a really helpful class! I haven’t crocheted in years but the way the class was taught I was able to pick it back up pretty easily. There was enough time to make 1-2 of the hexagons and we were shown how to stitch them together. We also received written instructions which was appreciated!
The first time slot I signed up for got cancelled. On my second try, the instructor was an hour late. But luckily her ad hoc substitute was very knowledgeable and gracious and started the class off just fine. I hadn't sewed on a machine in 50 years, and I quickly learned what I had probably been doing wrong all those years ago. The tote bag project was perfect for the time allotted and for the basic skills that were taught, and I'm pretty proud of the finished product. I will definitely sign up for another class soon.
The class was great, the group size was small. I feel like I learned a lot and I’m excited to take more courses at this location.
Very patient teacher, quite attentive. excellent.
Christina was awesome! Very helpful and patient
It was great! Class size was just right, our teacher was attentive and knowledgable. Learned a few new stitches, feeling far more confident about how to sew with stretchy materials and I have a cute new top! Not bad for a Saturday afternoon.
The teacher was not able to teach me. She might have been good for the other students, but for me it did not work. I am a visual learner and somewhat slow at that. She helped me about four times with the first steps, but it was a speedy Gonzales type of help. After one hour I decided to leave the class. It became obvious that I would go nowhere with the instructor. I came home, went to YouTube and learned the steps to knit. I really did not want to waste my time nor the instructor’s. Some people have no patience if you are not a quick learner and to make matters worse flying thru with the instructions does not help.
Most of the workshop was self-guided. I was hoping there would be a framed finished piece...
Great instructor! I loved the finished pieces I got to take home and would definitely recommend this class to anyone interested in learning more about watercolor painting.
